Lens IDE Desktop (2022-2023)
Lens IDE Desktop is a standalone application that allows you to manage and monitor remote Kubernetes clusters and their nodes, storage, compute workloads, and much much more.
Adding a Container Cloud Instance to Lens
MCC is a single-pane infrastructure management web application for on-prem and cloud environments. Enabling developers to deliver code faster does not end with the “push” code experience. In order to boost the adoption of both Lens and Container Cloud, we need to make their coupling as smooth as possible by both:
-
Granting the necessary comfort to UX but also leveraging user stories of both solutions.
-
Creating an ecosystem between both solutions allowing each to take advantage of the features that the other does not support.
Open Container Cloud Cluster in Lens
A DevOps engineer or a Kubernetes Operator should be able to seamlessly and without any stress open up a Kubernetes cluster that is managed by an MCC instance to utilize Lens Desktop functionality that Container Cloud currently does not support.
